It's Official!!....Jay-Z Officially Sold His Stake In The Brooklyn Nets 'My Job As An Owner Is Over' -- Jay-Z's tenure as a Brooklyn Nets stakeholder is over. According to his site Life + Times, the BK boy sold his stake in his home team. Being a member of the Nets organization surpassed some of my greatest ambitions.

It was never about an investment; it was about the NETS and Brooklyn. My job as an owner is over but as a fan it has just begun. I’m a Brooklyn Net forever. It’s been an honor to work with Mikhail Prokhorov, Dmitry Razumov, Christophe Charlier, ONEXIM Sports and Entertainment, Brett Yormark and all the wonderful people involved in making the Nets first class.

My sincerest thanks goes to Bruce Ratner, who first introduced the idea of moving the Nets to Brooklyn. A thank you and deepest appreciation goes to the fans. You are the lifeblood of any team.

The Nets have made their mark on the NBA and as they enter a new era, Roc Nation does as well; as we embark on Roc Nation Sports. Our newest endeavor is committed to building the brands of professional athletes as we have done for some of today’s top music artists.

For Roc Nation Sports to function at its full potential, NBA rules stipulate that I relinquish my ownership in the Brooklyn Nets. Damon Dash Talks About His Relationship With 'Aaliyah' And His Fall Out With Jay-Z + Dame Dash Says He's Done With the Music Industry!! --- Damon Dash is his own boss. He sat down on The Combat Jack Show to discuss his role as a business man, family man and spoke about his relationships with Aaliyah and Jay-Z.

On his fall out with Jay-Z:

"I was disappointed in the friendship part of it because it was mostly friendship with Roc-A-Fella men but sometimes it's hard to be a friend with someone when it's business. The business stuff is not the most pleasant thing...I don't think it's an issue with him. I think we just took different paths. Period. I'm proud of everything that he's done and I'm proud of everything that I've done since then. I feel like whatever his dreams are, he's made his dreams come true but, my dreams aren't the same as his."

On being a boss:
"I enjoy business, being an entrepreneur on every level. I really enjoy it. I really enjoying my independence. I enjoy doing businesses without anyone's help."

On his relationship with Aaliyah and dealing with her death:

"She was funny. She used to ride out. My heart was broken [when she died]. I felt like a fucking broken heart, like you feel when someone you love dies. You have to push through it. God does things and put certain things in front of you to see how strong you are. It's defining pain."

The Process Expected To Be Completed By The NBA Draft June 2013!! -- The process is expected to be completed in time for Roc Nation to compete for players entering the June NBA draft, but there's no guarantee of the timing, sources said.

Those within Roc Nation and the CAA alliance aren't "chasing a clock on this," one source said. "This isn't about one draft, but taking the long view of the business." Rival agents are anxious over the possibilities of Jay-Z on the recruiting trail, believing the lure of his iconic business and cultural standing will have a major impact on attracting top prospects and current league stars.

CAA and Jay-Z are taking time to carefully formalize the arrangement on the basketball end, sources told Y! Sports, and are sensitive to making sure he exits the Nets partnership in a way that is respectful to the organization.

Among NBA, NBPA and Nets constituencies, there are several hurdles to overcome before a formal announcement will be made. Nevertheless, none are significant and Jay-Z's certification as a player agent is a mere formality.

Much like the arrangement with CAA's baseball side, Jay-Z will let the firm's basketball agents handle contract negotiations and day-to-day business with athletes.

The potential impact will come with athletes linking to Jay-Z's global reach in marketing, entertainment and business.

Jay-Z And Beyonce Under Investigation Over a Fifth Wedding Anniversary Trip To Cuba Without a License!! -- Pop power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce have caused a small furore over a fifth wedding anniversary trip to Cuba. The pair were greeted by big crowds as they strolled through the capital, Havana, where they ate at some of the city's best restaurants, danced to Cuban music, walked through historic Old Havana and posed for pictures with locals.

But a long-standing US trade embargo against Cuba prevents most Americans from traveling to the Communist-ruled island without a license from the government. And on Friday two Republican members of congress for Florida asked Adam Szubin, director of the Office of Foreign Assets Control, for "information regarding the type of license that Beyonce and Jay-Z received, for what purpose, and who approved such travel."

Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Mario Diaz-Balart represent districts where there is a high Cuban-American population. The letter said: "Despite the clear prohibition against tourism in Cuba, numerous press reports described the couple's trip as tourism, and the Castro regime touted it as such in its propaganda.

"We represent a community of many who have been deeply and personally harmed by the Castro regime's atrocities, including former political prisoners and the families of murdered innocents."

Beyonce's representatives did not immediately respond for comment yesterday. The State Department said it had no prior knowledge of the trip, and a spokeswoman at the U.S. Interests Section in Havana said she did not know if the couple obtained a license for their trip. If they did not, they could face a fine.

The embargo is not as stringent as it once was, with President Barack Obama's administration easing restrictions on travel to Cuba for academic, religious or cultural exchanges.
