Beverly Hills Cop TV Series Starring Eddie Murphy And Brandon T. Jackson Coming To CBS Soon!! (New) -- Photos Inside

Beverly Hills Cop TV Series Starring Eddie Murphy And Brandon T Jackson Coming To CBS Soon!! (New) -- It has been almost 30 years since Axel Foley became one of the iconic characters of 80s film.
So it must have felt like old times for Eddie Murphy as he posed with his on-screen son on the set of the Beverly Hills Cop TV show pilot in Los Angeles.

And while he may be a bit more wrinkly than during his heyday, the old twinkle was still in the stars eye as he stood next to Brandon T Jackson. The show's head honcho Shawn Ryan also tweeted a picture of the pair's matching director's chairs, though Eddie's seemed to be ever-so-slightly higher, a reflection of his much heftier star power.

Going by Tropic Thunder favourite Brandon's on-screen attire, he seems to have already been passed the torch by his comedy king co-star. For the 29-year-old wore the iconic Detroit Lions sports jacket that was as much a part of the Axel Foley character as sticking bananas up tailpipes.

With his carefully manicured barnet he was the image of a young Eddie Murphy, though it is doubtful the latter would be seen dead wearing diamond earrings.

Fans may be disappointed that Eddie is not going to be the main star of the new CBS show, which has been ordered for a pilot which could be the basis for a full series. Instead it will follow the adventures of his son Aaron Foley, who has followed in his fathers footsteps into the police force, though choosing to work in the fancy 90210 area instead of his father's old beat in Detroit.

It is purported to show him attempting to escape Axel's shadow as he polices the rich and famous.
But Eddie will be appearing in the pilot and could become a regular on the show if the pilot makes the grade. And it seems the Vampire in Brooklyn favourite may have already got a cash advance for his appearance, as he was spotted treating his much-younger model girlfriend Paige Butcher, 33, to coffee in Los Angeles on Sunday. -- Shout out to Daddymack for the tip!!
